Appleton Physician Management Services
A Business Profile

Appleton Physician Management Services caters to the business needs of solo practitioners and small groups of physicians and other licensed health professionals.

“Each specialty has its own unique nuances, as far as billing and administrative requirements are concerned," says executive director Meredith Kiesnowski, MHA, FACMPE, FACHE. "We pride ourselves in staying up to date and having access to the best resources to serve our clients.”

After earning a master's degree in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia in 1995, Meredith worked for Pitt County Memorial Hospital in North Carolina and the East Carolina University School of Medicine. She started her own business in Appleton – Administrative Resources – before becoming the administrator and chief financial officer of Appleton Plastic Surgery Center, SC, when her husband, Brian Kiesnowski, MD, MPH. hung out his own shingle in 2003.

While managing her husband’s office, Meredith continued her business as a private contractor, providing full-service medical management consulting services to other physicians.

As business increased, Meredith incorporated Appleton Physician Management Services in 2004. She offers more than 10 years experience in the medical administrative arena. “We’re board certified,” Meredith says. “Physicians are expected to be board certified, and we believe that the professionals who serve them should be, too. I am a Certified Healthcare Executive through the American College of Healthcare Executives as well as a Certified Medical Practice Executive with the American College of Medical Practice Executives.”

Our business philosophy is very customer-service-oriented. “Physicians strive to develop great patient-doctor relationships. We try to build customer relationships and confidence by providing excellent billing and other business services. All of our physicians and allied health professionals know they can call me any time, even at home or on my cell phone.”

To illustrate the capabilities of Appleton Physician Management Services, Meredith explains that a turnkey operation could be put in place for a new doctor in residency within four to six months. With a single phone call, the physician can begin the process to become licensed to write prescriptions in the state, be protected with malpractice or other necessary insurance, and qualified to provide services for desired private insurance plans, as well as Medicare.

“We can deliver virtually any service that doctors want to outsource, including billing and coding, accounts receivables or payables, payroll, credentialing, contract negotiations, chart review, administrative liaison, human resources, transcription, and on-site training for the physician or staff. You name it – we’ve done it. We also have an established working relationship with a collections attorney. Whenever there’s been a request for a new service, we’ve researched and implemented it,” Meredith says.
